Tanja and Asger participate in Dansk Melodi Grand Prix with the song “Can U Feel It?”. The song is co-written with old label mate Jesper Mortensen from Junior Senior.

2025
After a few years as Asger Tarpgaard’s solo project, Tanja Simonsen joins Late Runner. The duo’s first song is “Feel Like Making Music.”
Asger and Tanja originally began playing together in 1995 — first in Superheroes, later in Private. The circle is complete.

2024
Asger records a Christmas song together with Danish artist Juncker. “Luk Julefreden Ind” is the first song Asger has written in Danish.

2023
Asger presents his second album as Late Runner — “You're an Animal.” While its predecessor was born in the depths of depression, this album was written “on the way back from the brink” and offers a much more optimistic perspective. Here, Tarpgaard reflects on humankind as an animal.

2022
To mark its one-year anniversary, Late Runner released the EP “Organ Trio,” featuring four songs predominantly written on a vintage late-1970s electronic organ rescued from a dumpster, infusing Late Runner’s sound with a groovy nu-disco vibe.

2021
Late Runner is born. Emerging from a dream, the project materialized with the debut album “Nothing's Real Anymore,” a blend of slow, melancholic melodies weaving together acoustic and synthetic elements, somewhere between George Harrison and Air.
